The Supplies section is in charge of:
- Supplies orders over 50 kCHF
- Market Surveys, Invitations to Tender.
- Contact with different Departments (except SCE and HSE).
- R&D Collaboration agreements
Joshua Luke Davison
Joshua completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at University College London in 2013. He worked for several years in London in the procurement of goods, services and research for a multinational power systems company. He joined CERN as a Procurement Officer in 2017.
Nordine Azizi
Nordine completed his Master's Degree in Procurement in Annecy (France) in 2010 and joined CERN in 2011. He works within the Procurement Service as a Procurement Officer.
Floris Bonthond
Floris completed his technical education in France and joined CERN in 1991. He was responsible for the installation of various safety systems in CERN’s accelerators and experimental areas before joining the Procurement Service in 2009.
Andrea Musso
Mechanical Engineer from CNAM Paris, joined CERN in 1994, participated in the RF cavities production follow-up for LEP 200. In 1998 joined the magnet group; this was the prototyping phase for the main dipole magnets of LHC. Follow up of the contract of Dipoles, coordination for interconnections of LHC during installation, Cryo-Magnet coordinator during commissioning and Team Leader during Long Shutdown 1. Project Engineer for Hi-Lumi Project for collaborations with INFN Milan, IHEP China and KEK Japan.
Julia Bentchikou
Julia completed her Master degree in Management Science in Brussels, Belgium. She joined CERN as a Procurement Officer in January 2022.
Álvaro Leciñana Soldevilla
Álvaro completed his Mechanical Engineering degree in 2019 and his MBA in 2021. Before joining CERN, he worked in procurement activities in the packaging sector, participated in an engineering research project and worked during 2021 in the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in Chicago.
Gloria García Hernández
Gloria completed her Law degree and MBA in Spain and Ireland. Before joining CERN, she worked as Legal and Compliance Advisor for contracts and projects in both the public and private sector, and as International Trade Advisor for the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in Chicago. She is a Procurement Officer within the Supplies section.
Jessica Stearns Metcalfe
Jessica completed her undergraduate degree in Economics in the United States and a MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom. Before joining CERN in March 2024 as a Procurement Officer, Jessica worked in procurement teams in the private and public sector within the facilities and property management industries.
