CERN welcomes the French industry on 18-19 November 2020 for the 16th Edition of the industrial exhibition France@CERN, for the first time in a digital format. Organised by CERN in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in Geneva (Switzerland) and Business France (Zurich), more than 20 French companies, working in the fields of mechanical engineering, materials, electronics, among others, will feature their products virtually, in areas of interest to researchers, engineers and technicians at CERN.

Anyone at CERN is welcome to attend the event, with two particular highlights being the welcoming address by CERN’s Director-General Fabiola Gianotti and Florent Belleteste, Director of Business France in Zurich; and the 3-minute business presentations, where companies will present their activities, products and services.

The objective of the event is to develop contacts and match French companies with the relevant CERN technical counterparts and procurement officers, to address the upcoming challenging requirements at CERN.

While the global situation is not exactly the same as with the previous edition, the purpose of the event remains the same: to develop the commercial relationship between CERN and leading companies in its Member States. Procurement remains a fundamental aspect of CERN’s economic impact in its Member States, and reciprocally advancements in accelerators, detectors and computing take shape through successful business collaborations with a variety of industries.
